Everything comes from a small confectionery in the heart of Tuscany in the early sixties.
Day after day, Lorenzo and Leda used to propose typical regional specialities with the respect for tradition and authenticity.
Ricciarelli, soft Amaretti, Brutti Buoni, Cantuccini, buns, tarts, and a wide range of cakes and bundt cakes.
Immediately, bundt cakes began to gain much success: few healthy and carefully selected ingredients and a special processing for a family recipe, jealously guarded for years.
Growing, the sons Andrea and Nadia fell in love with the work of the parents, they learnt secrets,
values, and they decided to make a change to the family activity making it a business.
So, in 1987, Dolciaria Pontevecchio Srl was born in a new plant in Cerreto Guidi, “FI”. The goal is to specialize the production in bundt cakes and oven-baked cakes in wrought paste.
Modern automatic systems are used in order to ensure high production capacity while maintaining a high standard of quality.
In fact, the company philosophy has always tried to combine effectively the technological evolution with traditional recipes and production methods.
For our products we use only fresh and carefully selected eggs and flours, not GMO ingredients, only not-hydrogenated vegetal oils, “no palm oil” for a better lightness and digestibility; emulsifying additives are excluded.
According to old recipes, the fillings are used before cooking to get a particular taste.
For several years, we have forged contacts with firms of the industrial and retail sector in order to create customized solutions in the Private Label production too.
